67-year-old Waukesha woman, 56-year-old Milwaukee man injured in crash in Elm Grove

ELM GROVE -- Elm Grove police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on Tuesday, August 4th near Elm Grove Road and Bluemound Road.

It happened shortly before 5:00 p.m.

Police say a van was headed westbound on Bluemound Road, when it attempted to turn at the intersection. It then crashed into an SUV, which ended up rolling over after hitting a curb and a traffic light pole near the intersection.

A 67-year-old Waukesha woman was in the SUV. She had to be extricated.

A 56-year-old Milwaukee man was driving the van.

Both drivers were taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police had to shut down traffic headed southbound on Elm Grove Road from Bluemound Road so they could investigate and clear this crash.

The scene was cleared around 5:30 p.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
