MPD: Four teens arrested for armed robbery after victim spots suspect's car

MILWAUKEE -- Four teenage robbery suspects were arrested after the stolen car they were in was spotted by an armed robbery victim minutes after the crime.

District Two officers responded to the area of S. 12th Street and W. Mineral Street just before 4:00 a.m. on August 15 for a report of an armed robbery. The victim, a 49-year-old Milwaukee man, told officers a red vehicle approached him and a suspect got out and demanded his belongings at gunpoint.

The suspect fled from the scene in the vehicle with the stolen items.

As the victim was interviewed by officers near S. 12th Street and W. Washington Street, he saw the car the suspects were in drive by and he alerted officers. District Two officers pursued the vehicle, that had been stolen just hours before from the 1900 block of E. Euclid Avenue, before the car stopped in the 1200 block of S. 37th Street.

Four suspects, a 15-year-old female, two 17-year-old males, and an 18-year-old man, were taken into custody. MPD will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
