Plea for help: Milwaukee police zero in on vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run crash

Crash investigated near Appleton & Burleigh

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police say they are now searching for a black 2007 Audi Q7 SUV that they believe is associated with a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened near Appleton & Burleigh early Sunday, August 16th.

40-year-old Lamarr Banks was struck and killed by the SUV around 1:40 a.m. Officials indicated on Sunday that Banks may have gotten into some type of fight with the occupants of the SUV that struck him.

Members of the Milwaukee Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating the incident. As of now, no suspects are in custody.
