Making progress: MCTS, bus drivers union close in on contract agreement

MILWAUKEE -- Contract negotiations between the Milwaukee County Transit System and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 998 are apparently making progress toward an agreement.

Officials with the county said on Friday, August 21st that both sides are reviewing and considering a variety of options and proposals.

Both side will be back at the bargaining table on September 3rd to try and reach a deal. The county and the bus drivers union officials have said they will not discuss any of the details until then.
