Erratic driver hits multiple people in downtown Indianapolis; case may be tied to stabbing

Indianapolis, IN (WXIN) — Several people were struck by a hit-and-run driver in downtown Indianapolis Wednesday morning. At least four people had been hit, police dispatchers said.

This started as a stabbing in the 3700 block of Roseway Drive. In that case, a woman was stabbed in the stomach and taken to Eskenazi Hospital. The suspect then drove around downtown, hitting pedestrians in a silver Ford Edge.

Here are the areas affected:

Pennsylvania and Market – 2 pedestrians hit, taken away in ambulance
Ohio and Illinois – 1 pedestrian hit, walked away from scene with no real injuries
Michigan and Delaware – motorcyclist hit/run over
Police said they found the unoccupied SUV parked near 30th and Cold Spring. They were still looking for the driver.
