16-month-old boy taken to the hospital with serious injuries; 41-year-old relative arrested

16-month-old baby injured near 38th and Townsend

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police say a woman has been arrested for child neglect after a 16-month-old child was found with serious injuries on Wednesday, August 26th.


Officers were called out to the 3400 block of N. 38th Street in Milwaukee.

There, they found a 16-month-old boy who had been injured during circumstances that remain under investigation.

The boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.

The woman arrested is a 41-year-old relative of the child.

This case will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
