Final: Wisconsin Badgers fall to Alabama Crimson Tide, 35-17

ARLINGTON, Texas -- With Heisman Trophy runner-up Melvin Gordon now in the NFL and Corey Clement dealing with a groin injury, Number 20 Wisconsin got run over in its season opener.

Derrick Henry ran for 147 yards and three touchdowns for 3rd ranked Alabama in a 35-17 victory over the Badgers at Cowboys Stadium in North Texas.

 

The Wisconsin Badgers are coming off their third 11-win season in five years and were led by a new head coach, Paul Chryst. Chryst was the Badgers' offensive coordinator before a three-year stint as the head coach at Pittsburgh.
