Gambling leads to fight: One man fatally shot on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man near 38th and Lloyd Streets.

Officials say the victim, who has now been identified as Dominique Roby, was gambling with a group of people in an alley around 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 5th -- when a fight broke out. It ended with gunfire.

Police believe the victim and suspect knew each other. But no arrests have been made.

In a separate incident, a 20-year-old man was shot and wounded near 24th and Burleigh Saturday evening.

Officials say victim was driving in the area just before 8 p.m. when he noticed an individual shouting at him and then began to shoot. After being shot the victim drove from the area and notified police. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of a serious wound.
