21-year-old man killed in crash in Dodge County; 29-year-old man transported via Flight for Life

DODGE COUNTY -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say one person was killed in a rollover crash that occurred on Thursday evening, September 10th.

It happened in Watertown, near Lebanon, on Morningside Road.

Sheriff's officials say a 21-year-old Watertown man was killed, and a 29-year-old Watertown man was taken to the hospital via Flight for Life.

Preliminary investigation shows that 21-year-old Robert Buske was operating a Ford pickup truck traveling east on Morningside Road when the truck entered the south ditch and struck a culvert.  The truck vaulted and overturned, ejecting both occupants.

Buske was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.

The 29-year-old passenger of the pickup truck sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by Flight for Life Helicopter to Aurora Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc.

Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.  Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash.

The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. -- and just one vehicle was involved.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
