Milwaukee Business Journal: Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry may attend private fundraiser for Hillary Clinton

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Business Journal is reporting Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will hold a private fundraiser Thursday night, September 10th in the downtown Milwaukee condo owned by former Wisconsin Energy Corp. CEO Dick Abdoo -- the Kilbourn Tower, 923 E. Kilbourn Ave.

The private fundraiser comes after Clinton delivers a speech at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Thursday evening.

The Milwaukee Business Journal says Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry may be one of the guests at Clinton's private fundraiser.

A spokesman for Lasry at his New York City investment firm declined to comment Thursday.

A Milwaukee Bucks spokesman could not be reached for comment.

But a longtime Democratic supporter and insider told the Milwaukee Business Journal that Lasry and other Bucks officials will attend the event.

Registration for the private fundraiser starts at 6:00 p.m., the Milwaukee Business Journal reports. Clinton is scheduled to arrive at 7:00 p.m. or later.

Guests who contribute $2,700 will get a photo with Clinton, according to the invitation for the event. Those who raise $27,000 can attend a reception with Clinton and gain membership in her campaign’s “Hillstarters” group for those who attain that financial goal. Supporters who raise $50,000 also can attend the reception with Hillary and will become members in the “Hillraiser” program for fans who have raised that amount or more, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.
