The theme of this year's parade is "Find Your Adventure."

Northwestern Mutual will dedicate its float design to the greatest adventure and dream of 13-year-old Peyton Richardson of Sugar Land, Texas.

Peyton is in treatment for acute lymphocytic leukemia.

She is an aspiring ballerina and that will be incorporated into the float.

"We're using social media to tell Peyton's story on an ongoing basis to keep her fans up to date on what's happening in terms of the activation leading up to the time that Peyton will be on the float representing all of the childhood cancer children across the country," John Kordsmeier with Northwestern Mutual said.

Childhood cancer is Northwestern Mutual's national signature cause. Over the past three years, they've raised more than $8 million.

The 127th Rose Parade is set for Friday, January 1st at 8:00 a.m.
