Here’s how to activate iPhone’s new web ad blocking feature

MILWAUKEE -- iOS 9 is now available for iPhone and iPad users. This update brought a lot of changes, but the most notable that we've seen so far; content blocking apps.

Peace, Purify, and Crystal are three content blocking apps that are available for purchase in the App Store. Once downloaded, users have the option to turn on content blocking. Essentially, this feature blocks advertisements from showing up while you surf the web in Safari on your mobile device.

Although all three apps are slightly different, they all have the ability to block trackers as well. This means that companies who collect your search data to target advertisements towards you, no longer can see what you're surfing the web for.

One other benefit to these apps is that your surfing speed may increase and your data usage may decrease by 50 percent. This is great if you're limited on how much data you can use each month.

You can download Peace, Purify, and Crystal in the App Store.
