Latest: Brewers' Jimmy Nelson to spend a second night in hospital

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Jimmy Nelson will spend a second night in the hospital for observation. This, after he was struck in the head by a line drive during Thursday evening's game at Miller Park.

Nelson was struck by a line drive off of the bat of the Cardinals' Tommy Pham in the third inning. Nelson fell to the ground face down and remained prone for about a minute after the ball struck him on the right side of the back of his head. Nelson walked off the field on his own power -- and was taken to a hospital where he underwent a CT scan. That scan revealed a contusion.
