Racine police investigate fatal shooting near 16th & Taylor Avenue

RACINE -- Racine police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday night, September 20th.

According to police, officers responded to the area of 16th and Taylor Avenue around 8:45 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive person in an apartment.

Upon arrival, officers located a 34-year-old man suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as Vaughan Chattman.

Major Crimes Investigators and evidence technicians were activated. The Racine Police Department is investigating this case as a homicide.
