Firefighters from several departments called out to house fire in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD -- Firefighters from several departments were called out to a fire at a home in Brookfield on Wednesday evening, September 23rd.

The call for this fire came in shortly before 7:00 p.m.

It happened at a home on Chevy Chase Street in Brookfield. The nearest intersection is N. Brookfield Road and Gebhardt Road.

We're told the fire started in the kitchen, but spread to other parts of the home.

No one was injured. Two people in the home were able to get out safely before fire officials arrived.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters from New Berlin, Elm Grove, Town of Brookfield, Lisbon, and Pewaukee Fire Departments responded to the scene.
