Latest: Suspect charged in armed robberies of Milwaukee game stores

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say a 24-year-old man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery after robbing two video game stores in two weeks.

The first robbery occurred on Wednesday, September 2nd when Devonne Ball, armed with a gun, walked into the Game Stop near Capitol and Richards St, approached an employee and demanded money. The employee complied with the demands and Ball fled from the scene with the cash.

The second robbery happened on Tuesday, September 15th at the Game Stop on Brown Deer Road where Ball committed a similar crime.

Milwaukee Police officers located Ball on Thursday, September 17th at his home and took him into custody. According to the criminal complaint, Ball admitted that surveillance video from the September 15th robbery was of him -- and he also admitted to the September 2nd robbery.

Ball is charged with two counts of armed robbery. If convicted on both counts, he faces a prison sentence of up to 80 years or $200,000 in fines.
