69-year-old man killed in tree trimming accident near Crawford and Hill in St. Francis

ST. FRANCIS — One person is dead following a tree trimming accident in St. Francis. It happened at a home near Crawford and Hill on Wednesday, September 23rd.

St. Francis police were called out to the scene shortly before 10:00 a.m.

Upon their arrival, police were able to determine that a father and son were trimming a tree in the yard when a branch came down, knocking the father from a step ladder the men were using to reach up into the tree.

The father, a 69-year-old man, was killed.

Police believe this incident was accidental.

The name of the deceased hasn’t yet been released.
