Popular Buckhead Saloon to close, be re-imagined: "It's time to add another great concept to Milwaukee nightlife"

MILWAUKEE -- Buckhead Saloon, located on Old World 3rd Street in downtown Milwaukee is set to close, and the business will be re-imagined and transformed into a new concept -- but that concept hasn't yet been revealed. Mike Zimmerman, owner of The Rock Sports Complex, Milwaukee Wave Professional Soccer Team and other sports and entertainment entities throughout the Midwest, along with long time service industry veterans and brothers Jake and Seth Dehne have announced the closing of Buckhead Saloon. Buckhead Saloon will have one last celebratory weekend this Thursday, September 24th, Friday, September 25th and Saturday night, September 26th -- with a special last sendoff on Sunday, September 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with an original band, former staff and DJs. Buckhead Saloon has been a local favorite amongst college kids, those celebrating birthdays, bachelor, bachelorette parties and more. “After a decade of entertaining Milwaukee with thousands of birthday and bachelorette celebrations, it will be sad to see a venue like Buckhead Saloon go. We have spent the last 10 months fine tuning an amazing new concept that will add to the nightlife renaissance that is occurring on Old World 3rd Street,” said Jake Dehne. “Buckhead has tired and with new places like The Pub Club, Evo, Comedy Café, The Brass Alley, Ugly’s, Carson’s, Ale Asylum, and Giovannis all soon to open or recently opened, it is time to add another great concept to compliment the street and meet the demand of Milwaukee’s ever changing nightlife scene.” "We are not ready to divulge what the new concept is just yet, but let me assure you its made for Milwaukee and Milwaukee will love it,” said Seth Dehne. “We will make the space a little smaller, with a private room and patio, but still keep the focus on big time entertainment so that you will want to celebrate your corporate event, birthday, or bachelorette party there. We plan on opening mid-November with our website and marketing going into place mid-October." The Dehne Brothers and Mike Zimmerman partnered last year and have a long and successful track record in managing food and beverage locations in downtown Milwaukee and the Rock Complex in Franklin.  Venues include The Pub Club at 1103 N Old World 3rd St., Upper 90 Sports Pub at 322 W. State, The Umbrella Bar and DiMaggio’s Pizza at 7900 Crystal Ridge Drive.
