Revealed: Greater Milwaukee Foundation unveils October’s Gift to the Community



MILWAUKEE — FOX6 and the Greater Milwaukee Foundation are teaming up to bring you Gifts to the Community – unique experiences that highlight the remarkable resources the community has to offer – as we celebrate the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s 100 years of service to the Milwaukee area.

The October Gift to the Community is a free admission weekend to Discovery World! The entire community is invited to attend this “Weekend on the Water,” October 3 & 4, which includes free admission to the interactive science and technology center, all exhibits and shows, plus special programming for guests of all ages.

Parking

Discovery World expects extremely limited parking on this weekend. If the parking garage is at capacity, Discovery World strongly recommends parking at either the O’Donnell Park Structure, U.S. Bank, or Lake Lot (located across from the Summerfest Grounds). Please note all parking rates apply at each individual garage.

The AIDS Walk Wisconsin & 5K Run will also be taking place Oct. 3. Listed below is a schedule of when vehicle access into Discovery World will be restricted.


    In celebration of its 100th year of service, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation has been presenting monthly Gifts to the Community that enable people to experience many of the region’s greatest assets together. These community-wide opportunities have drawn well over 200,000 participants during the last nine months.
