SANTA CLAUS, IN — Talk about a surprise proposal! An Indiana couple are taking the plunge after they got engaged while riding a roller coaster!

According to WXIN, the two Anderson University students boarded “The Voyage” at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana when Austin Crecelius decided to pop the question to his girlfriend, Allison Boyle.

While a friend rolled video, and the ride was going up, up, up — Austin says, “At one point in time you had mentioned to me that life is like a roller coaster. And it’s got its up and downs, it’s got twists and turns, and it even throws you for a loop sometimes. And though you can go by yourself, it’s a lot more fun to go with another person. So I wanted to ask you if you wanted to be my roller coaster buddy. Allie, will you marry me?”

Of course, she said yes!

After the ride ended, Austin put the ring on Allison’s finger and walked her down to the exit ramp where her parents and friends were waiting for them.

Austin says the ring he gave her on the roller coaster wasn’t the real one. Once they got off the ride, he took it off, got down on one knee, and proposed with the real ring.
