Milwaukee Business Journal: Chicago builder submits $314M low bid for Zoo Interchange construction work

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Business Journal reported on Tuesday, September 29th that Chicago contractor Walsh Construction Co. beat out two Wisconsin-based builders with a $314.59 million bid for the next major Zoo Interchange contracts.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation opened bids Tuesday morning, finishing an effort that contractors put months of work into. The bids must be reviewed by DOT officials before they award the contract. There was a wide spread of $62.1 million between the three bids submitted.
