Marquette University police warn students after series of thefts from vehicles

MILWAUKEE — Marquette University police are alerting students after a series of thefts from vehicles in recent days.

The Marquette University Police Department is working with the Milwaukee Police Department to investigate these incidents.

Meanwhile, police are warning MU students, faculty, staff, guests and visitors to:

  • Lock their vehicles.
  • Park in well-lit areas.
  • Remove all valuables from plain view, even if the car is locked.

Exactly how many thefts are under investigation, and where they occurred isn’t clear at this time.

    There seems to be a lack of reporting by MU police. Why aren’t the stats available or any other info on crimes that MU Police are handling?
