Packers QB Aaron Rodgers named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

GREEN BAY -- Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named on Wednesday, September 30th the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for week 3 of the NFL season.



According to Packers.com, Rodgers completed 24 of 35 passes for 333 yards with five touchdowns for a 138.5 passer rating in the 38-28 victory over Kansas City. It was his fourth career five-TD game, setting a franchise record he previously held jointly with Brett Favre.

The player of the week award is the 13th of Rodgers' career, also most in franchise history (Favre, 12) and most in the league since 2010. For the season so far, Rodgers has completed 67 of 91 passes (73.6 percent) for 771 yards with 10 TDs and no interceptions for a 135.4 rating.
