Fatal wreck: Child killed, three others injured in Fond du Lac County crash

TOWN OF CALUMET -- A 4-year-old child was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon, September 30th in the Town of Calumet. It happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of CTH W and Calmar Road.

A preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle traveling westbound on Calmar Road failed to stop for the stop sign and struck a pickup truck that was southbound on CTH W.

The 62-year-old driver and 57-year-old passenger of the southbound pickup truck were transported to St. Agnes Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 19-year-old driver of the westbound car was transported to Theda Clark Medical Center by Flight for Life with life-threatening injuries. A four-year-old passenger in the car died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s office.
