MILWAUKEE — The USS Milwaukee (LCS-5) commissioning will take place November 21st at 1 p.m. at Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront.

The USS MIlwaukee is a 390-foot-long ship – the fifth and fastest ship to be named Milwaukee. Of the five ships named Milwaukee, the USS Milwaukee (LCS-5) ship is the only one built in Wisconsin.

The crest of the USS Milwaukee  bears the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Calatrava, blue for Lake Michigan, and symbols depicting the hard work and industry of the Milwaukee area.
