Police: 22-year-old man driving near 27th & Locust when he heard shots, realized he’d been hit

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday evening, October 1st near 27th and Locust.

It happened shortly before 7:00 p.m.

Police say a 22-year-old man was in a vehicle driving home when he heard shots and realized he had been hit.

He then drove home — to the area of 26th and Auer, where he then called for help.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment, and is expected to survive.

MPD is now investigating.
