Green Bay Packers sign WR Jared Abbrederis to active roster

GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Jared Abbrederis to the active roster from the practice squad and released defensive tackle Bruce Gaston on Saturday, October 3rd.

Abbrederis is a 6’1″ tall, 195-pound, second-year player out of the University of Wisconsin. He was originally drafted by the Packers with their second of two fifth-round picks in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Spending the entire 2014 season on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in training camp, Abbrederis and was released by Green Bay on September 5th, 2015, and has been on the Packers’ practice squad since signing on September 7th.

He will wear No. 84 for Green Bay.
