MPS kids smile brighter thanks to Marquette University School of Dentistry

MILWAUKEE -- Plenty of kids walked away with a fresher smile on Saturday, October 3rd. That's because Marquette University School of Dentistry was offering free dental exams and cleanings for kids in Milwaukee Public Schools 'Head Start' program.

The Head Start program prepares children to do well in school while supporting their families with things like dental care and social services.

Kids who got their smiles checked out included a teeth cleaning, a complimentary toothbrush and fluoride treatments.

Last year, more than 500 students got their teeth checked.

MPS Head Start serves more than 1,300 children in the city at 23 sites.
