"He's a person that never sits still:" Will a $5,000 reward lead to the arrest of Andrew Obregon?



KENOSHA COUNTY --  Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth announced Monday, October 12th a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Andrew Obregon.  Obregon remains a suspect in the homicide of Tywon Anderson, whose body was found in a field of corn off Highway A in Kenosha County on September 26th.

"We know that he's traveling around, not just Kenosha county, but into Racine county, as well," said Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth. "There's possibilities he's traveling just south of the state line."

For days, Obregon has eluded law enforcement and speeding away when they get close -- using the cornfields as a shield.

"I think it deals with his contacts for, for crack cocaine, and this is the area that he knows he can escape," said Beth.

On Saturday, October 10th, authorities say three of the vehicles believed to have been driven by Obregon during the high-speed pursuits with Kenosha and Racine County sheriff's deputies, were recovered.

    Sheriff Beth now hopes the $5,000 reward offered in this case will motivate someone to come forward.

    "He's a person that never sits still. And we're hoping that a $5,000 reward will help anyone who comes in contact with him to call right away," said Beth. "We`re, now, using resources that we would love to be putting toward other cases, other calls. Now, we're dividing our time and our resources to strictly, to Andy Obregon."
