Police made the announcement Friday, October 16th with a “broken heart” as Bones was loved by the community and his coworkers.

K-9 handlers from Mount Pleasant, Racine, and Kenosha said their final goodbyes to Bones and say he will be missed by so many.

Mount Pleasant police wrote in a post on their Facebook page:

“We have your watch from here Bones. Please keep Officer Swart and his family in your thoughts and prayers.”
