Police on scene of two separate homicides within 25-minute period; both double shootings



MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police officers were on the scene of two separate homicides that occurred within a 25-minute period on Wednesday night, October 21st. Two people were shot in each incident.

The first happened around 8:50 p.m. near 27th and Juneau.

Police say two people were shot -- possibly by a known actor. It is believed two men were arguing, when one pulled out a gun and fired several shots.

A 36-year-old man was killed, and a 48-year-old woman was hurt. The victim has been identified as Terry Dotson.

Police say the woman was not involved in the altercation. She is expected to survive.

Police are working to identify the shooter.

Around 9:15 p.m., police were called out to 53rd and Nash.

This shooting also involved two victims.

Police say two men were in the area when a man opened fire.

A 29-year-old man was killed, and a 27-year-old man was hurt. The victim has been identified as Rahdel Carson.

That 27-year-old man is expected to survive.

Police say the circumstances surrounding this incident aren't completely clear at this point, but this incident is believed to have stemmed from a drug transaction.
