District Attorney Robert Zapf told jurors Monday that Russell Rose Jr. killed the baby in a fit of rage by slamming her to the ground after a violent argument with the girl's mother.

Rose is accused of striking the child's mother in the face, choking her, kicking her down some stairs and threatening her with a knife and metal stake.

Rose is facing seven felony charges, including first-degree intentional homicide. He has pleaded not guilty.

The trial continues Tuesday, October 27th.

The Kenosha News says a jury of five men and nine women, including alternates, were chosen Monday from an initial pool of about 80 people.
