Developing: Three people shot, hurt at Washington Square Mall in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police say three people have been injured in a shooting at a shopping mall.

Deputy Chief of Operations Brian Mahone says all three of the victims were transported to hospitals and one is in serious condition but expected to survive. He says the other two don't have life-threatening injuries.

Mahone says police do not have a suspect in custody.

Mahone says the shooting occurred Wednesday evening inside the Washington Square Mall on the city's far east side.

He says the shooting wasn't random and the gunman and primary victim knew each other. He says the other two people shot were nearby when the gunman opened fire.

Mahone says all of the victims are young adults, two men and one woman.
