Waukesha police: Firearm discharged during confrontation near Butler, Mt. Vernon Dr.

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha police say the public is not in any danger after an incident in which a firearm was discharged on Wednesday evening, November 4th.

It happened near Butler Drive and Mt. Vernon Drive.

It was around 5:30 p.m. when Waukesha police responded to the scene for a confrontation involving multiple subjects.

A preliminary investigation has revealed some of the subjects were juveniles, and were known to one another.

During this incident, a firearm was discharged.

At this time, police have no indication to believe that anyone was struck or injured.

Multiple subjects fled the scene.

Detective are actively following up on leads.

Police do not believe the public is in danger.
