Two people taken to the hospital after crash involving semi, car in St. Francis

ST. FRANCIS -- St. Francis police say two people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a vehicle and a semi on Tuesday afternoon, November 10th.

It happened near the intersection of Brust Avenue and Whitnall Avenue in St. Francis.

We're told the semi was headed northbound on Brust Avenue -- and was stopped at the intersection.

The semi then continued northbound and struck the car, which was heading west on Whitnall Avenue.

The two people in the car, a four-door sedan, were taken to a hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the driver of the semi was cited for failing to yield the right of way to the car.
