Milwaukee police investigate homicide that occurred near 76th and Hampton

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened on Tuesday night, November 17th.

We’re told a man was found shot inside a vehicle.

It is believed the shooting happened near 76th and Hampton.

At some point, the victim’s vehicle rolled backwards, and came to rest on a fence.

The victim in this case is a 23-year-old Milwaukee man. He died at the scene despite the efforts of first responders. He has been identified as Javontae Bufford.

The investigation is ongoing.

This is Milwaukee’s 131st homicide this year — compared with 86 homicides during all of 2014.
