Lamar Odom's life 'will never be the same,' source says

LOS ANGELES -- Lamar Odom will likely be in the hospital for a long time, sources told People Magazine.

In October, the ex-NBA player was found unresponsive at a Nevada brothel, where he used cocaine and other herbal supplements.

"Lamar has made some progress, but his cognitive impairment is making life very challenging," a source close to Odom's estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, told People.

Kardashian, who is making Odom's medical decisions, is staying with him during his recovery.

The source also told People Odom, 36, will need full-time care when he eventually leaves the hospital.

"Lamar has serious longterm and lasting issues. His life will never be the same as it once was."
