Man taken to the hospital via Flight for Life after he was burned in garage fire in Pleasant Prairie

PLEASANT PRAIRIE -- Officials in Pleasant Prairie say a man was burned, and had to be taken to the hospital via Flight for Life after a garage caught on fire on Monday, November 30th.

Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue was dispatched around 11:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, units found a detached garage heavily involved in fire that was about to extend to a nearby home.

A man that had suffered burns was located at the end of the driveway and was being assisted by a neighbor.

He was eventually taken by Flight for Life to St. Mary’s Burn Unit in Milwaukee.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and the nearby home was not damaged.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation -- but officials say the fire is not suspicious in nature.
