MILWAUKEE — Three Vincent High School students were arrested by Milwaukee police on Friday morning, December 4th for their connection with a semi-automatic handgun that was recovered by officers at the school.

A spokesman for Milwaukee Public Schools told FOX6 News “at no point was there a direct threat to students in the building.” He did say the building was on a “code red” for a brief period of time — and student movement was limited while the investigation was underway.

The students involved in this issue now face consequences in both the criminal justice system and in MPS.

The MPS spokesperson said “this is a serious situation” and it is being treated as such.

Yes, it absolutely is. Kids are scanned and ID’d every day on the way in. The problem is that the building is labyrinthine and has a large amount of exits, and not enough safety officers to cover them. Therefore, an outsider only needs to contact a student and be let in through one of the exits.

I am currently a student at Vincent high school and yes we are a gun free zone. I agree with @Brad because that is so true.

@WILSON…we are all colored to some degree. its quite racist to say colored people bring guns to school. It would be even more racist of me to say that white people bring guns to school & MASS murder their classmates. Even more racist of me to throw racist killer cops in the mix too. History has shown White people bring guns everywhere & kill everything in their way

Brilliant deduction. Nearly 100% of Vincent students are black. By the way, it’s time to update your racist terms.
