Court releases $33,500 in donations to Fox Lake Lt. Joe Gliniewicz's widow

FOX LAKE -- The widow of Fox Lake Police Lt. Joe Gliniewicz will receive $33,500 from a bank account that contains donations made after her husband's death.

The checking account was previously frozen as part of the investigation into the officer's alleged thefts.

According to the Lake County assistant state's attorney, they have no claim on anything the family received after Gliniewicz's death.

Joe Gliniewicz ran the Fox Lake Police Explorers program, and is accused of taking money from that program.
