December "Gift to the Community:" 6 days of free admission, parking at Milwaukee Co. Zoo
MILWAUKEE -- FOX6 and the Greater Milwaukee Foundation are teaming up to bring you Gifts to the Community – unique experiences that highlight the remarkable resources the community has to offer – as we celebrate the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s 100 years of service to the Milwaukee area.
As the grand finale to the Gifts to the Community program, the December gift will feature six (6) days of free admission and parking at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Headlining this amazing gift is the introduction of the Zoo’s newest resident – Asa the snow leopard. Asa’s journey to Milwaukee began this summer when FOX6 announced the Greater Milwaukee Foundation would help the Zoo acquire two new snow leopards as the July Gift to the Community. During the final week of December, the entire community is invited to visit the Zoo, meet Asa, and enjoy a variety of special activities all for free!

The Zoological Society of Milwaukee was established in 1910 as an informal group of community leaders who bought animals and raised funds for the Zoo. Today it is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with a mission to take part in conserving wildlife and endangered species, to educate people about the importance of wildlife and the environment, and to support the Milwaukee County Zoo.
