Aunt Millie's Bakeries, headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, donated 5,000 loaves of Italian bread to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin on Monday, December 7th.

In all, the company plans to donate 20,000 loaves to food banks across the Badger State.

"We have a program in Indiana and Michigan of donating to food banks, we donate over 100 thousand loaves of bread in a given year, and since we're expanding into Wisconsin we wanted to help needy families here as well," Melissa Dunning with Aunt Millie's Bakeries said.

The company started the program in 2009, and since then, more than 500,000 loaves of bread have been donated to food banks in the Midwest.
