All clear: Water St. bridge failure temporarily creates issues for drivers in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Commuters heading into and out of downtown Milwaukee had to avoid the Water St. bridge in the Historic Third Ward for a short time during the Wednesday evening rush. That's because the Water St. bridge suffered an electrical failure.

The gates of the bridge were down, preventing drivers from going over the bridge.

A cement company ship was sitting behind the bridge on the Milwaukee River -- not able to pass through.

But crews have since remedied the situation -- and traffic is able to cross the bridge without issue.
