Semi strikes & drags tree, which then hit pole in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police on Thursday, December 17th were on the scene of a wreck involving a semi tractor trailer in the city's Historic Third Ward.

Police tell FOX6 News this crash happened just before noon, near Chicago and Broadway.

Just one lane of traffic was open on the street due to construction in the area, and traffic was re-routed into the parking lane.

The semi truck, being closer to the curb, struck a city-owned tree with its trailer, and the tree was snapped and then dragged by the semi.

The tree eventually hit a pole for a traffic signal and that pole was knocked down.

No one was hurt.

Police are considering this incident an accident.
