KENOSHA -- Kenosha police are investigating after a suspect shot into a minivan at a McDonald's restaurant at the corner of 30th Ave. and 18th St. The shooting happened around 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, December 26th.

A blue Town & Country minivan is the centerpiece of the investigation as police figure out what happened and who may have been involved.

Bob Murphy says he goes to the McDonald's every morning before 10:00 a.m., but today errands held him up.

"It's a shame. It is a shame, especially if something terrible happened. I don't want to see anything like that," said Murphy.

The restaurant was closed for around four hours while police processed the scene and collected evidence.

Officials say they have one person in custody.

"I wouldn't know what to do if I had been here when that happened," said Murphy.

The McDonald's reopened a few minutes before 3:00 p.m. -- Murphy, like the rest of Kenosha, is anxious to know more.

Thank the Most High that he’s ok. I will also pray, for peace, understanding, and healing over the victim and everyone else involved. Shalom.

It actually was not road rage mrs…It is a very unfortunate incident… More people should have a CCW, so they can enjoy their family during the Holidays…Unfortunate that people like you think situations like this..What do you think he got shot for pulling in front of someone to order a Big Mac??

Liar! You call yourself a Libertarian but are demanding gun confiscation! You should be calling yourself a liberal. That is what they do! Rush to blame gun owners before you even have the facts. I bet it was a gang or drug related issue and not some honest and responsible citizen that completed a gun safety course. Let us see who is right.

My cousin is friends with a guy who’s uncle is the guy who got shot. Apparently the two had fought previously and the guy who was shot beat the other guy up pretty bad so he came back for payback. Also apparently the nephew of the guy who got shot is someone who will do anything for his family and is apparently planning on revenge.
