Marquette University men's basketball head coach Steve Wojciechowski contract extended

MILWAUKEE -- Marquette University men's basketball head coach Steve Wojciechowski has had his contract extended by two years through the 2021-22 season.

Terms of the contract weren't announced.

The long-time Duke assistant walked into a trying situation in his first season as MU coach. His leadership held a 13-19 team together.

This year's young group is 10-2 so far.

Coach Wojo's ability to recruit some of the finest high school talent in the country could keep the Golden Eagles flying high for a long time to come.
