Revenue drops at Wisconsin's Circus World Museum

BARABOO — Revenue and expenses at Wisconsin's Circus World Museum fell during the first 11 months of 2015, helping the facility stay ahead of last year's net income.

The Baraboo News-Republic reports that through November the Circus World Museum Foundation's operating revenue stood at $1.2 million, down about $308,000 from the previous Nov. 30. Expenses were down about $330,000, though, helping the foundation position itself to finish the year slightly ahead in net income.

Foundation officials cautioned their board during a meeting Dec. 17 that the numbers could change before the year ends. Museum officials hoped year-end giving would boost their finances. Through Dec. 10, gifts were $60,000 short of the goal for the year.
