40-year-old man shot and killed near 10th & Lincoln

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say a 40-year-old man was killed in a shooting on Tuesday, January 5th. It happened near 10th and Lincoln around 4:30 p.m.

Police say this shooting occurred during an altercation.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's body was found in the street.

It is unclear at this point who shot the victim, and how old the suspect is.

However, police say this incident was not a random act. Police say it appears to have been the result of a large fight that took place between two groups of people that knew each other -- and police do say teenagers played a role.
