Contact 6 helps man start over after fire at storage facility: He advises others to "call Contact 6 and don't wait!"

MILWAUKEE -- FOX6's Contact 6 in 2015 got back more than $160,000 for our viewers. One was so thankful, Katrina Cravy paid him a visit. This story is proof that FOX6's "Because You Matter" slogan is so true.

FOX6's Katrina Cravy paid a visit to Casey Dorsey -- one of three people who came to Contact 6 during the summer of 2015 after a fire at the Public Storage facility on N. 77th Street.

"My boxes, my mattresses, my bed -- everything. They were throwing it in the dumpster," Dorsey said.

Dorsey lost almost everything. He was storing his items while he was in the hospital.

"I gotta start all over," Dorsey said.

Thankfully, it didn't take long, because FOX6 News has a great Contact 6 team.

Casey Dorsey meets Contact 6's Val Seiber

Val Seiber is the first person you'll talk to if you come to Contact 6 with a problem. She keeps the Contact 6 cases moving.

Dorsey loved showing off the new furniture he purchased, along with $3,000 Contact 6 helped him get from his insurance company.

"Without you all putting me on the news, they wasn't going to do anything. After you put me on the news, the next day they were calling me," Dorsey said.

Dorsey said he's glad Seiber stayed on the line too.

"I talked to her every other day. She helped me a lot. Without you talking to me I probably would have gave up to be honest," Dorsey said.

Now, Dorsey has a great new place and some great advice for anyone else with a consumer problem.

"Call Contact 6 and don't wait!" Dorsey said.
