Two people hurt in crash that happened after pursuit terminated in West Allis

WEST ALLIS — West Allis police say two people were hurt in a crash that happened near Hawley Road and Adler Street on Tuesday night, January 26th.

We’re told a West Allis police officer was involved in a pursuit that was terminated by the officer.

Other officers were flagged down and notified that the vehicle had crashed.

Initial reports indicated one person was treated for injuries at the scene, and another person was taken to the hospital.

Police say the driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot — and officers were working to track that driver.

No further details have yet been released.

    I’m just going to assume the driver was late for work…that’s why (s)he didn’t stop for police and also fled the scene. To assume there was criminal activity in play is just not realistic……
